4. Structure and parameters

4.1 Antenna reflector

The antenna reflector is a single offset parabolic fold structure, radiation diameter is 3m, f/D (focus/diameter)=0.84, offset angle θ033.3°. The antenna reflector is composed of three parts: central plane and left and right sectors. The width of the central plane is 1.8m, the chord height of left and right sectors is 0.6m. Connected by hinges, the central plane and the left and right sectors are foldable and deployable. They can also be fixed after folding and so can withstand the bumpiness and vibrations, gyrations during vehicle traveling; when deployed, the accuracy of the whole reflector can be ensured by pin fixture.

4.2 Feed system and support

The feed system is composed of corrugated horn, TE21 mode matcher, polarization duplexer, rejection filter and polarization rotation mechanism. An electric polarization rotation mechanism is set for easy adjustment of polarization plane during antenna operation.

The feed support is of portal frame structure and is bonded by channel steel. Its lower end, connected with the antenna back frame, can rotate through coupling shaft, and it can be folded closely to the central part of the reflector when the antenna is in stow. The feed system should be installed on the upper end of the support.

4.3 Antenna pedestal

The antenna pedestal is of azimuth-elevation type. The antenna pedestal is consist of azimuth assembly and elevation assembly, and the latter is placed above the former. The azimuth and the elevation drivers are both of lead screw type with features such as good self-lock and wind-resistant capability.

4.4 Servo tracking system

4.4.1 Composition

The servo tracking system is composed of computer and control circuit, driving circuit, angle sensor and encoder, limit protection, polarization control circuit, GPS, electronic magnetic compass, tracking down converter and tracking receiver.
