The Vehicular “Auto Deploy ” Ku-Band 1.2m Antenna Servo Feedback Tracking System can
be mounted on top of vehicles. The antenna stows when the vehicle is moving and electrically
erect when it is operating. The system features compactness,solidity, light weight, quick to
facilitate operation and so on.

3. Form of Antenna

This is a single offset parabolic antenna with features of unobstructed high efficiency, accurate reflecting surface, compact structure and ease of mounting on vehicles. Polarization isolation degrees satisfy requirements readily with proper use of suitable antenna focus to diameter ratio and mode matching feed technology.

3.1 Antenna parameters

Antenna aperture: ellipse major axis: 1.3m, minor axis: 1.2m

3.2 Feed

The feed system consists of conic corrugated horn, TE21 mode matcher, polarization duplexer, rejection filter, and rotation knuckle. Feed base and electromotive polarization plane adjustment unit can be fixed on the top of feed pole support.

4. Servo System

4.1 Antenna structure

The vehicular 1.2m antenna pedestal adopts azimuth-elevation structure. The azimuth assembly consists of azimuth chassis, azimuth bearing, azimuth turn table, azimuth drive module and azimuth data package. The elevation assembly consists of elevation shaft support lug, elevation riser, elevation drive module and elevation data package.

The structure adopts planetary gearbox and harmonic gearbox with features of small size, light weight, large reduction ratio, high efficiency, high accuracy and low backlash.

4.2 Servo control

The system mainly consists of electronic compass, GPS, computer control unit, frequency-conversion speed-governing driving unit, resolver, shaft encoder and driving motor. Its functions are as follows:
